DE SUAR Spa grew from founder Deisy Suarez’s belief that professional care should feel personal. A visit is time set aside for you—to slow down, share what you need and receive attention from a team that listens. Our spas bring together facials, massage and body treatments in settings where comfort and thoughtful service matter as much as the appointment itself.
Our name brings together DEisy and SUARez, pronounced “de-swar.” That personal connection has shaped the business from the beginning. Whether you are visiting for the first time, returning for a favorite treatment or exploring skincare for home, we want you to feel welcome to ask questions and choose the care that suits you.
From a beauty business to a spa community
Deisy began building her beauty business in 2004 with DE SUAR Cosmetics. In those early years, she made, bottled, labeled and packaged products herself, learning through the everyday work of creating and selling something of her own. Her background in esthetics, massage, business and hospitality eventually came together in a larger vision: a spa where professional treatments and individual attention belonged side by side.
In 2010, she opened the first DE SUAR Spa in Downtown Los Angeles. Working directly with guests helped shape the experience that continues today—taking the time to understand preferences, explaining treatment choices and making room for a moment of rest in a busy life. Over time, that vision grew into a family of California spas, each with its own surroundings and the same commitment to attentive service.

The connection does not end when a treatment does. Guests often ask about a product’s texture, the scent they enjoyed during their visit or how to continue a simple skincare routine at home. Those conversations have helped guide the growth of DE SUAR’s skincare, body and hair care collections.
Today, our skincare collection includes cleansers, toners, serums, moisturizers and masque treatments, alongside personal care essentials. Deisy’s involvement includes developing products, selecting formulas and working on customizations that suit the experience she wants to offer. The goal is practical, enjoyable care: products with a clear place in your routine, textures you look forward to using and guidance that helps you choose confidently.

From Los Angeles to the Central Coast, our locations offer different settings for your spa time:
- Downtown Los Angeles at the Westin Bonaventure brings spa care into the heart of the city, welcoming local guests and hotel visitors.
- Hollywood offers a welcoming space on Sunset Boulevard, with warm wood floors, tall windows and a place to settle in before or after your appointment.
- Monterey at Casa Munras offers spa care in a garden-hotel setting on the Central Coast.
- DE SUAR Santa Cruz Spa at Courtyard by Marriott is located inside the hotel, with massage, facials and spa experiences near the Beach Boardwalk.
- The Owner’s Touch is Deisy’s private, appointment-only experience in Sherman Oaks. The address is provided upon appointment approval.
